The Hills, Summerlin: Where Summerlin Began<\/h2>\n

The Hills is where Summerlin started. Development began in 1990, and the community’s first residents moved into The Hills in March 1991. The 394-acre village is anchored by The Hills Park, Summerlin’s first major park, which Howard Hughes finished months before those first families arrived. Becker Middle School and Lummis Elementary School sit beside the park.<\/p>\n

Homes for sale in The Hills are mostly single-family homes built in the early 1990s, in one- and two-story designs from roughly 1,400 to over 3,000 square feet. Tree-lined streets and mature landscaping set the village apart from newer parts of Summerlin. The Hills Park has lighted tennis courts, ball fields and an amphitheater, and Summerlin Parkway and the 215 are close by for trips across the valley.<\/p>\n
